New fishies at last!

My 10 gal QT finished cycling, so I ran out today and got 6 fancy platys (Xiphophorus maculatus) and 1 pictus catfish (Pimelodus pictus).

The 75 gal has also cycled, so I'll have to keep feeding it ammonia while the new fish are quarantined. Is 2 weeks enough as long as no problems appear?

What different things do you feed pictus cats?

I feed my two catfish pellets, blood worms, and the odd really small feeder.

I love them, very active at night!

I think if there's no fish in either tank you could have put them straight into the big tank... and then if you get more then quaruntine em. I might be wrong though

bunebop, I didn't want to take the chance of bringing home a disease and then having to clean out the 75 gal. Too much work. 8O

The QT doesn't have any gravel, just decorations and plants, much easier to clean.
