So a little about me, i'm 34 and have been keeping a Reef Tank in my Red Sea Max 130D for the last 10 years. Have loved it, up until I had a complete and utter power failure which wiped out my tank while i was away.
I did consider starting the tank up as a reef again, but the cost of Saltwater is just climbing and climbing so I have decided that it is time for a new start and a new type of water.
My task for the time being is to drain and clean the tank, rinse the sandbed (to be reused) as well as the base rock that was in the reef. I plan on going planted tank (I love Seaweed/Macro Algae tanks) with hardy species such as Java Fern and Anubias (various varieties)
As for stocking am thinking about
6 Multies
1 Bristlenose Pleco
5-6 Nerites
