I just want to quickly introduce myself.

I grew up having always an aquarium (small freshwater) at home.
Moved abroad, got married had a kid. And few weeks ago we went to the zoo and my daughter was amazed with the aquarium. That also reminded me I always wanted to have a saltwater tank.

So I think is a good time to get it started and I know that keeping a saltwater tank isn't easy.

I've been reading a lot and also would like some advise.

Id start with a 30 gallon or bigger that way you have more fish options. And generally the smaller the tank the harder it is to take care of with saltwater.

Id look into the 29 gallon biocube. It comes with everything you need and has lights powerful enough for some corals.

Thanks Tarpon,

I know this forum is US based and I'm the UK, but any help in choosing my tank would be great.

I'm looking to buy a tank that comes with everything like you suggested but my options are:

I would like to keep it at this range of prince.

1- Fluval Roma 200 Aquarium and Cabinet New Design

2- Juwel Rio 180 Aquarium & Cabinet

Could go for this ones if the kit really worth it, but not my first option

3- Aqua One AquaStyle 980 Aquarium And Cabinet

4- Fluval Vicenza 180 Aquarium & Cabinet Black, Titanium and Zebrano

Would appreciate comments, links to reviews , basically anything that can help me to decide. Also I accept suggestions that are within the price range and size I listed.

Thanks!

You'll probly need to buy some extra stuff for those like powerheads and or protein skimmers. And I have no idea how much a euro is or liters conversion (typical American lol) but yeah what I said before is pretty much the extent of my saltwater knowledge.
there are experts on here that know pretty much everything you could think to ask that will give advice soon I'm sure.
But yeah welcome and good luck

probably would be better to start a new thread for the tank to get more visibility don't you think?

Yeah this is more for welcoming you. Id post something like 1st time salwater need help under the fowlr section
