New tank in the planning

Hey guys in march I'm getting a fairly decent pay out ( work related ) now the big question I used to have a black shark aka black labeo I want a tank to hold a fish of this size I know they grow to 2 ft so I was thinking maybe 8ftx4x4 what do you reckon?

That translates to close to a 950 gallon tank, which should definitely be large enough... A bigger question is whether your house can handle the weight that such a tank would have.

A friend of mine has one thats around 13 years old in a 10'x2'x2' tank with a oscar and some sort of large catfish.

WOW, imagine those water canges! I would get a school of Uaru in that tank, maybe 10-12.

I'm going to get the foundations checked and then see what I can do from there I loved my black shark but had to get rid of him
