I might like to do just the shrimp. I hate using chemical of any type so what do u think about that?

Pure ammo really is the best option. For one, the shrimp smells like...well rotting shrimp, lol. Fish food in a mesh bag is also an option. You do run the risk of molds or fungus with shrimp and fish food as well.

A bottle of ammo is the easiest to dose to the proper level, and most simple to measure and maintain. I highly recommend looking for it. The ammo is exactly what the fish produce...so there's nothing different between adding in a few drops of ammo, or fish pooping in the tank. Plus, you can use it to clean windows and stuff in the house
