New thing in tank

Hi my tank is in the cycling phase and I noticed this thing that what I can see sticks to the glass from its shell.

Does it have a shell? It looks like it could be a type of snail but I can't tell from the pics..

I think it does have a shell and I has some sort of fleshy grey bit coming out of the end.

Yeah that is a snail...most likely a Stomatella...there is a link in my signature that has pictures of stuff you might find in your tank. Have a look at that

Stomatella are like snails with a half-shell. The best part is they move really, really fast (for a snail).

He stayed on the back wall of the tank for
About 3 days and then this morning he was on the front of the tank.

They only move fast when prodded.

Does look like a stomatella to me. When first cycling my tank, I witnessed a slow motion epic battle for dominance between a stomatella and an asterina star. Took an hour of grappling for that snail to escape. I was amused.
