I just need to know one thing. I have 2 tanks, one ten gallon and one fifteen column tank. The ten gallon is on the second week of it's cycle and the. Fifteen is on it's first day. The water in the ten gallon is way more murky than the fifteen. Now I am cycling the ten gallon with only a few white tetras. The fifteen only has one planted Anubia. The fifteen is crystal clear and the ten has been murky ever since the first day. Do you think it's the lighting that's different? In the ten: 2 blue acitinic bulbs. The fifteen: one t5 led strip. I will post pictures!

The ten is murkey from a bacterial bloom. Do you have a liquid test kit to test the water? If the ammonia or nitrites are above .5 ppm, do a water change or two and get them under .25 :)

I was afraid of that. I do not currently have a test kid, yes I know I need it badly! Thanks for telling me though because I could not figure it out I did a water change earlier today and it cleared up a little. I will post a picture in a week or whenever it clears! Any idea on how long?

With a fish in cycle, it could tank 4+ weeks in total. Petsmart has the API liquid test kits for less than $25. Until you get a test kit and know what the levels are, I would do 30% at least once a day. It may slow the cycle a little tiny bit, but it will help the fish.

In the 15 gal, are you adding an ammonia source? I assume you are, just want to make sure

Okay that's all good I will keep up with the water changes. Yes I have a Complete Water Care Kit that has a start zyme for ammonia, ph and chlorine.

Okay so I changed the bulbs and did a water change. Still no test kit but I am getting by Thursday. Looks like this sides and then from the front...
