I guess we went about it all wrong but we bought a tank from a friend bout 45 gal with 5 fish (freshwater) 2 huge 4 line catfish bout 8-9 in! 1 big pleco bout 9 in 1 red tail shark 5 in and 1 angel bout 4 in. we drained most the water and brought them home (not to far) and filled it back up and it seemed to be ok for a couple days then noticed it was leaking! it was old glass tank so we quickly found a acryllic 55 gal on craigslist cleaned it real good and used the gravel and filter out of the old tank. it was looking good and clear and we got 2 more kissing fish (small) from petsmart. in a day or two it looked like they had ich! We used Rid-Ich and Copper Safe half strength. The fish got worse and started dying. We have one kissing gouramie left which seems to be fine. How long should we wait before adding more fish?
