New to keeping cichlids

Are their eyes supposed to be red? Haven't paid close attention to them in a while and I'm concerned.

My electric Blue rams have red eyes with a black stripe in the middle.

Oh man.. I remember back when mine got the red eyes, next day it was playing black Sabbath records backwards..
It's fine, supposed to be that way..

Thanks for your reply. I have 5. Some of their eyes are red and some are not.
