Those zoas are awesome! I've got come in my 10 gallon reef. They really look awesome under the moonlights.

Thanks! Do they usually close up at night?

I just came home and it didn't look too good. So I turned on the lights to check. Hermit crabs been bothering them since I put them in so I'm not sure if that the issue for why it looks that way. I also found a little critter crawling around it. It had a much of lights white and really small and thin.

Here's how it looks now. I relocated it so
Hopefully the hermits wont bother the zoas.

They look fine to me. They will close up at night so that's normal. As far as the crabs go my hermits will sometimes crawl over a coral and they will shut up but I've never had a hermit harm a coral. Give the zoas a few days to get used to their new environment. They should be just fine. There a lot hardier than we think!

What's the thing that's on the zoa? Should I pull it off or leave it? I think it might be aiptasia. How should I go about removing it so it doesn't spread?

Looks good and that's def a feather duster. Did you say you picked that frag up for 10 bucks?

Tip 10 bucks. It came with hairy algae but my cuc took care of it the first night.

So glad to hear its a feather duster and not aiptasia.

Dang my Lfs sells their frags per head. Sometimes it's 5 usually it's at least 10

Yeah. It was labor day special, buy 2 get one free coral. But I missed out. My buddy sent me a email after i got home.

This frag is also 10 bucks. But I'm not sure what it is and how to take care of it. Sorry for the poor quality

So I came home for the weekend and checked up on my tank. Prepped my water for the weekly water change.

And I noticed this in my tank... What is it?!?!? Could it be a starfish? Or is it a parasite ?

Looks like a Florida ricardia, could be wrong, the pic is a little blurry.
