Nitrite level help please?

So a couple days ago I tested my water and my Nitrite was at 5ppm, did a water change and then yesterday my Nitrite was at 1ppm and now today it is at 0ppm. My ammonia is at zero and Nitrate at about 10-20ppm. Is my cycle finish or was that just a Nitrite spike I had and another is soon to come? My pH is 7.6

Are you doing a fishless cycle? What source of ammonia do you have?

It sounds to me like the tank is cycled, but if you have fish in, you can monitor for a couple days to be sure. If you are doing a fishless cycle, then add more ammonia, and check to see that it is being processed efficiently (24 hours or so).

So I did another test just now. I changed the water yesterday and ammonia is still 0ppm and Nitrite 0ppm. I am going to do another test tomorrow and if ammonia and nitrite are still at 0ppm, does that mean my cycle is complete?
