I have a nitrite test that shows results in incriments of 0.25 ppm. Obviously, since any nitrites can kill, this is a bit too large of a scale when you're looking for 0.1 or less. Therefore, I went and bought another test. When I got it home, it was measured in mg/l.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but 1 liter of water has a mass of 1kg. Therefore 1 mg/l would also be 1mg/kg, and thus it would be equal to .001g / 1,000g, and thus would be 1mg / 1,000,000mg, and thus one mg/l is equal to one ppm. So, my new test, which incriments 0.3mg/l is equal to 0.3ppm, which is no improvement at all over 0.25ppm.
