I know I neglect this forum, but there's not usually much going on in here. Do you think this forum would better serve those of us living north of the states if it were broken down by provinces or regions?

Ha! The one day I actually decide to *look* in the Regional Forums! :)

I don't think that there are enough of us to be divided into provinces. I can count maybe 6-7 from Alberta, and there are a bunch from Ontario, but for the most part, provincial forums would be pretty lonely...

I agree, I mean, I have only really had time latley with approving with work and all.

I think having all canadians together in one forum is pretty cool. we don't use up all the database quota thats forsure Bettacove :D

Well Sarah I am the only one from PE lol.

it should definatly stay as all of canada for now, not enough people on here are from canada...

Hi Serge and welcome to the canadian forum :D
I am from Alberta....only been as far east as Saskatchewan.
Perhaps you should start a new thread stating "Ottawa area members" or something like that. You might have more luck catching the attention of people from that area.

Hi there ABislander2!

How are things in Alta? Any snow yet? ;-) We have been getting our share in the last few days. Starting the Ottawa thread might be an idea. Tell us the scoop about your interest and "toys". ;-)

As for me, yesterday I received my tank. Now I have to practice patience and wait until the holiday season is over before I can start setting up everything. The "Boss" said so.

Take care and TTYL.

We finally got a bit of snow over the past week or so. We don't have very much tho. We have had some rain lately, which seems unusual for December.

Glad to hear you have a new tank. You can spend lots of time researching what you want to put in it. Have you ever looked into fishless cycling with ammonia? You can probably start doing that and you will be ready when you decide what you want to do as far as tank inhabitants go.

I find the hardest part about fishkeeping is trying to clear things with "The Boss" :?

Very little snow in Calgary, and about to get less, as the predicted high for the next couple of days is 8ºC, with very dry breezes.....then a bit cooler and rain for the coming weekend....likely another 'non-white' Christmas here in Calgary.

Well, I have added a LR to my QT to "kick start" it. Seems to be working because the foggy water is now cristal clear! I also seen 2 or 3 copecods roaming about the rock and 3 aptaisia. :-/ But it's fine for now as I intend on getting rid of these before putting it in the display tank.

Yeah, "The Boss" has her ways, always. ;-) She is quite shrewd (sp?) with money, but she agrees to buy this and that when it is justified.

Have a nice day.

Umm... We should be so luckly here. We are close to a foot of snow in about a week and the temperature is starting to get colder. Windchill is presently -20 C Tonight they forecast close to -20 C, not counting the windchill. It's going to be chilly to go to work tomorrow.

Take care
