Hi. Any advice on how best to decorate my aquarium for a kissing gourami? She's about 6 years old and I recently moved to her to the new tank (pictured below). I've read mixed advice on how to create the right environment - few plants and lots of open space vs. lots of plants and hiding places... also, should I add any tank mates? I was thinking about an apple snail or two...

Thanks!

Is it okay for a 25 gallon? I wanted one for my community tank in my 30 gallon but I dno if that's to small and I heard they can be aggresive

It depends on which source you read. I don't think you'd want to go smaller but I've read that they need a minimum of 25, a minimum of 50, a minimum of 75 gal and even higher... Some sites say you should always have 2 kissing gouramis together and others that say they should be kept alone and will kill each other and fish that have the same body type. Some say lots of plants and some say lots of open space...

Mine has done well with many smaller fish that have come and gone over the years and was never aggressive (maybe she's the exception). Overall, I haven't been able to find much info on what the ideal setup should be...
