So for some reason I thought when doing my shrimp reading that bee shrimp were ok in harder water. So I bought 4 orange bee shrimp at my LFD today along with a few fish. Now while reading about breeding/sexing I'm seein they don't like hard water. Is that true? My pH is also 7.6.

It is true that bee shrimp don't prefer hard water, but you may be OK. However, they may not breed in the current conditions they are in. If you are looking to breed, I would consider putting them in full RO/DI water with remineralizer.
