so what would happen if you put a container of pure NH3 out? would bacteria grow? maybe dilute it down to 100 - 200 PPM.

I actually had a conversation some years back about this with a very knowledgeable LFS employee, he said it would not be the right type of bacteria due to the fact that our blood is iron based and a fishes blood is copper based.
