I am new to planted tanks and CO2 so apologies if this is an obvious question.
I have a 14g tank with flourite substrate, two pieces of mopani wood, two 15w CFLs, 7 small neon tetras, a small pleco and (for now) 3 small easy plants (PetSmart stuff). I have a shipment with moss and ferns on the way, and want to hook up a small DIY CO2 to make sure the new plants do well and to keep the algae at bay.
Here is the problem:
My pH is already at 8.2 (API test kit about one year old). I assume that is going to go up further with Co2. Is that a problem? If so, what can I do about it?
Thanks
