Pickle Buckets

The place I work at is right next to a fast food restaurant and they always have these empty 5 gallon picket buckets. I was woundering if it would hurtbmy fish if I used them for water changes.

Wash it out pretty well. The only thing I could see that wouldn't work well is if the vinegar gets into your tank and drops your pH.

Food grade containers are very good to use though.

If worried, after cleaning, let it soak in baking soda water for 3 days. Then rinse real good.

Wash it really well. I sometimes store conditioned water in a container that was previously used to store liquid Boron. Washed it thoroughly and everything has been ok so far[last seven months].
