Wow, Macman, I just noticed this!! You must have posted on a slow day!!
Your tank is just beautiful....such corals!! I am envious, just having purchased my first coral today! How long has this reef been established? Good for you, great job!

thanks dianeww and afilter,

by the way a filter how is your powder blue doing?

macman7010,

Powder Blue still doing great :) Tank transfer is now almost a month old so I thinkw we are over the hump. Adjusting well to the addition of corals.

Thanks for asking.

yeah sounds like you did a good tank transfer. Mine is having a little bit of mini-cycling since the transfer. I have a slight rise in nitrates and some red algae and cyano growing. Then my UV sterilozer broke the other day just as I was introducing a new fish. Luckily I am friends with the guy I bought it from and he gave me a new one, actually a better one - I had an 8 watt and he gave me a 15 watt replacement.

Cool, I do not use a UV due to my Mandarine Dragonette and the need to maintain my pods population.

I too and getting a bit of Cyno, but nothing out of control yet.

you could always use a UV with your mandarin, what I have done is set up a HOB refugium so that the pods from the refuge can flow into the tank and not get killed by the UV sterilizor. Of course if pods go down the overflow up through the sump and wet/dry they are dead once they hit the uv, but they have two prefilters to hit before that happens.
