I would like to add a scavenger to my 29 Gallon FW planted tank.

Initially I was thinking about a Bristlenose Pleco, but what bothered me the most was that they can reach 5+ inches in length. I don't really want a fish that big in my tank.....

In another thread it was suggested I consider the Pitbull Pleco.

Based on my review of their characteristics they look like a very good option. They are small (which I greatly desire) at 5-6 cm's and their needs closely resemble my water parameters.

I have a community tank currently stocked with 6 Rasbora Lampchops and 7 Rummy Nose.

I'd like to add a scavenger or two and then a (single) Dwarf Chiclid.

Question #1: What are your thoughts and experiences with the Pitbull's?

Question #2: Are there any other scavengers or options you would suggest?

Question #3: My tank is just recently cycled, it's been less than a week. But I do have brown algae on my glass, slate, wood and gravel. How long should I wait before adding a scavenger such as the Pitbull?

No exp with pit bulls.

You could get some corys or loaches, rams also stay at the bottom.

You should be able to put them in now if you have some aglea growth.
