Hi all:

I want to place a CPR CY194 bio-filter in a 55 gal sump. The problem is I believe that the bio-filder is an enclosed filter. Is there some way that I could make it a part of a larger sump. Do I need to drill a hole in the bio-filter? so the water will continue into the rest of the 55 gal tank?

How do you feel is the best way to use the bio-filter in with the larger 55 gal tank?

Thanks as always,

Obmanta

The cy194 is 12.5 inches wide which makes it too wide to fit inside my 55gal sump. I'd check the width on yours. I have mine on a shelf above the sump and it dumps into the sump. I attached a picture of my set up
