Plant fertilizing

Hi guys I have recently started using plant tablets (my lfs advised it) to fertilize and find my plants look less healthy now. I originally had one of my plants growing so quick that I had to keep removing some and that was before the tablets but now it doesn't seem to be nearly as quick. They also aren't as green as they were. My sword also seem to have more leaves dying off They still have new ones forming but much slower than usual.
