Hi all. I bought 2 of these at a pet store and they weren't marked. The store associate had no idea what they are. At first I thought crypt but now I'm wondering if it's some sort of sword? Thanks in advance.

Are the leaves thick and waxy? The stems look really thick- i am almost wondering if that is a true aquatic plant at all.

The leaves look kinda shiny for an aquatic but it could be the leaves too. There are a bunch of sword types though. The leaves look too rounded to be a crypt- they kinda almost look lacy/more dainty than that? Hard to explain but they look too thick for crypt

Not thick and waxy. The red leaf had grown up since I got it. It came from a store that does sell non aquatics as aquatics but I took a gamble as It looked like an aquarium plant. I have another that sent up two really tall leaves. They're green, not red though.

Yup, it's a great plant. Doesn't get outrageously huge like many other types of swords and can display really nice reddish colors in the right conditions.
