I recently decided to get rid of the artificial stuff in my tank and I purchased a bundle of 18 plants online. The plants arrived and all looked healthy I planted them in my 38 gallon tank and put seachem flourish tabs in the gravle and the flourish liquid in the water all the plants were supposed to be easy care hardy plants its been about a week and a few of them dropped all their leaves and died and a couple other ones look like they are turning brown im not sure if I'm doing something wrong this is the first time I tried a planted aquarium any info or advice would be great.
The tank is a 38 gallon bowfront with a tetra hob filter its a live bearer community tank with Cory's plattys mollies and sword tails
Ammonia is 0.25ppm Nitrate is 20ppm nitrite is 0.5ppm ph is 7.5 and water is hard local water supply is really hard water

The plants are “melting” which means they are adjusting to their new home. Was your tank already cycled? It looks like the cycle slowed on you with the ammonia and nitrate amount.
Melting plants will produce ammonia so you might want to do more water changes until you start to see new growth on the plants.
So you have a plant light on the tank or just a typical hood bulb light?

The tank has been running for about 4 months its not brand new so it should be cycled and the light is a led hood light
