Planted my tank

Just planted my 29 gallon tank with some brazilian sword plants. i have 6 neon tetras 6 black neon tetras and a red tail shark. do i need to do anything different now that i have live plants in them? like what will help my plants do well/ not die lol

FYI, brazilian swords are not true aquatic plants. They might live for a bit then they will start to rot. Amazon swords are true aquatics.

i got them from my lfs that they had in water...they might be amazons..

Sometimes LFS will keep Brazilian swords fully submersed in the tanks with other plants so you think that they are completely aquatic when they aren't. Check to make sure that you didn't get Brazilian swords and if you did take them back and exchange them for Amazon swords. Most fish stores won't have a problem doing this for you (at least mine didn't).
