Ok so I have used the liquid ferts once how ever my marineland peinguin filter pads have carbon will this take the ferts out
 
Hello Fish...

You can remove the chemical medium (carbon). It's not needed provided you're performing large, frequent water changes. The water change will do the same job as the carbon.

If you're keeping low to moderate light plants, they'll do fine with the frequent water changes and feeding your fish a healthy diet. You don't need the added commercial ferts.

I am planning a 75 gallon and was wondering if a brand like Eco complete or is pool filter sand ok for a planted tank?
