I honestly do not know what this is growing on my live rock. Can someone help me identify this? Should I scrap it off?

Sponge of some sort I think.

Its just a sponge. Leave it alone. It will help the tank out by filtering the water for its food source. They are good for the tank. I have many in my tank.
