Hey all.

Any idea if this is just a fish attacking my pleco or a more serious issue?

180g tank with an Oscar, 2 JDs and 2 pink convicts.

Tank has been running for 2 years with no issues. Also just checked water parameters and all is good.

I was away for 2 days and they are used to being fed everyday. Could this just be a reaction of hungry fish?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its definately a wound.
Put him/her in a bare bottom heated Hospital tank with some "fungus cure" from walmart. Ingriedents should read as follows.... Nitrofurazone, Furadiazone, and potassium dichromite.
Treatment for 5-7 days and return to display tank, if you feel its safe from other fish.
Maybe your chiclids took a bite out of him/her. You could rehome after treatment.

Well. Sadly i lost the pleco. I have now noticed that one of the JDs has what looks like a bite out of his lip

I am wondering if these two got into it maybe. Can't see a pleco doing that.

Thinking i am rehoming the convicts as the are becoming very territorial.

I will try and get a JD pic of the injury.

Worst timing for this to happen as i have no free time from work until Thursday.
