Aquarium Advice Freak
Hey all,
About 3 weeks ago I started a 10 gallon tank for my 2 goldfish (and posted about my new tank syndrome...). Once the tank had cycled, my brother, who's kept Oscars for several years, gave me the "gift" of what i believe is a common pleco...he said it'd keep the tank clean (I had a bit of an algae problem in the little tank).
However...after a little nosing around, I have some major concerns.
1. How long before this thing gets too big for my tank? and then what do i do? I was thinking the 10 gallon would be the last tank I needed for the goldfish!
2. My tank is as clean as a whistle....how do I know if this thing is getting enough to eat? My goldfish are very vocal when their hungry (jumping out of the water at me if they missed dinner)....but he isn't quite that greedy. I read that the plecos like cucumber? I stuck some in there, and he/she wouldn't go near it!
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
