I heard rumors that plecos can suck holes in plants so it might not be a good idea to have one in a planted tank. anyone have any experience in this matter?

I've got a bristlenose in 3 of my planted tanks... I've yet to experience any issues with them and the plants... or anything for that matter.

Well my biggest one was over a foot long it wasn't the problem of him eating them it's the problem of him thrashing around them and tearing them up. But my smaller pleco (4 inches) has never gave me any bother with plants ever.
