Popeye and White dot?

Our Beta (It's "just" a Beta, but we love him dearly) had what we think was "Popeye" or "Cloud eye". We got some medication for him at a local pet store about 4 days ago. His eye is getting MUCH better, but his head is starting to deform. It's very odd. First the scales on the left side of his face were raised a hair, then it progressed to the top of his head. His scales look like they are raised, and you can see a little white dot right in the middle.

Would anyone happen to know what's wrong with our little fish?

I'm not positive with bettas but IME it could be one of two things.

If it progresses to the rest of his body, sounds like it could be a case of dropsy. You will know when it is dropsy because his whole body will become "pineconed", where the scales stick straight out.

Other thing it could be is a bacterial infection. Spots of his body will become inflamed. More than likely, this is the case. What did you use to treat him with? What are your water parameters? When was your last water change?
