Possible inhabitants for 55ga - updated

1 coral beauty or 1 flame angel
1 purple firefish
Pair of ocellaris clowns
1 type of goby
1 valentini puffer or blue spotted puffer
CUC of usual hermits and snails
A few skunk shrimp
Would love to have a serpent starfish

Open to more suggestions.

I wouldn't add more than that. My 55 seems maxed out at 5 fish, anymore and I always loose one somehow.

Those puffers may thank you for the fine meal of shrimp, hermits and snails.

That's what I'm afraid of and the more i read, the more I'm leaning away from a puffer- even though i think it would be neat o have one. Could I put a dottyback with a goby and fire fish?

You def can. I had an indigo dotty back in with a watchman goby without issues. I traded the watchman later on, but no probs. this is in a 55 as well. Just make sure you add them slowly over time so the bacteria can catch up to your systems needs.

Oh yes. Def plan on doing things slowly. What would be another possible nice sized fish to do and maybe not do the dottyback? I would like to have another "bigger" fish than just an angel..

A 55 limits larger fish. Maybe a dwarf angel and id limit to one if and only.
