Current t5 it has two blue bulbs and two 10,000k bulbs in it. I had another current light on it running a blue and pink colored bulb but had to steal it for another tank.

The background is a diy

Very nice. Haven't used much blue light but I've heard it's good for blue colored fish. How easy was the DIY background?

I just got these cichlids today and I'm not sure what type they are. It's tank said assorted Malawi cichlids. Tips are appreciated

I was using the pink for sometime but didnt like it. Only had one single 10k & that might have been the probelm. I change from the 12kk I had for the 10kk. I'm using the Blue & Purple- plus 10k.

I put plastic egg crate under my substrate so rocks cant touch or fall onto bottom glass. Works great!

That is a Cynotilapia Afra and it is absolutely gorgeous. Probably the best looking fish I have.

Here is a shot of my 100g 4 yo Malawi setup. Just rescaped the lot and added LED lights that look soooo much better. Also had a wet dry trickle incorporated inthe original lid, been replaced by an ehiem pro 3 600 2075. Never looked better.
