Pots in my tank

Want to know what will happen if i put terra cotta pots in my tank. Will it kill my fish? Will the hp go really high? ( the pots are brand new)

Lots of people use terra cotta pots, just make sure they are unglazed, they'll be fine.

I put the pots in a bucket of water over night and when i woke up there was a layer if crap on the top of the water. What does that mean ??

I don't know about that. An unglazed terra cotta pot shouldn't leach anything.

I will change the water in the bucket and see if does it again
