Powerhead suggestions

I want to buy a powerhead for my 55 gallon freshwater. I just had an issue with a hydor heater and I had previously been looking at hydor koralia. Now I want to stay away from that brand. What suggestions do you have?

I would suggest you rethink your position on the koralia. IMO, one of the better (no best) out there.

I agree. If you want a good PH that is not Koralia, you'll have to pay through the nose for Tunze, Seio, or Vortech. Maxijets are affordable, but quite unimpressive IME.

Koralias are a fantastic value for the price IMO. They cost more than the Marineland or Hagen brands, but are well worth the money.

Maybe I'm just a cheapskate but I have rio's in all my tanks and haven't had to replace one in 2 years. I haven't been in the game as long as some but they have served me well.
