Problem Putting Up Background On Tank

I set up a 75 gal tank. A friend helped me put the vinyl background on the back of the tank. We spent about an hour putting oil on the glass and using a credit card to remove all of the air bubbles. The tank looked great for about an hour. Then huge air pockets appeared between the vinyl and glass even though I taped the vinyl on every side. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking of removing the viniyl and painting the glass. Everything is new and I want it to look nice!

Yea I would just plasti dip the back and call it a day.

I assume plasti dip is paint? Where can I find it? Does it have fumes that would hurt the fish? Thanks
