Protein skimmer and new sump sock help

So I built my first sump for my 55 and I added a filter sock and sponge brick in it without washing for some reason. I didn't even think about washing them my mistake now skimmer is going crazy it's overflowing and mixing chamber is full of bubbles and micro bubbles in tank. I removed the sock and brick its been three days and have done two water changes and no change in skimmer anyone experience this before

Mine usually does that when I add a new sock it will calm down. I would put the sock back in and wait it out.
