Pulsing Xenia placement?

Soo I got a pulsing xenia today. At the lfs they had it in a bowl and it as pulsing awesome there. I got home placed it on the bottom of my tank and look like too much flow for it to pulse. Where should I place it?

Low flow, low light... it will grow like a weed.

Yeah that's what I've heard. I did find a good place for it. I messed with my powerhead a little and its been doing great ever since, little flow.

Make sure you stay on top of controlling its population. It can spread all over your tank, even impeding the growth of other corals.

How come Xenia are such hit or miss corals? I'm new to this and want pulsating Xenia. Any tips for success?
