How to people use the Declorinator and Cichlid salt with these thing (Python)? Add it after the water removal but before refilling? My problem is that I don't want to change the PH and GH/KH to much with every water change. I have african cichlids that need 8.0 or higher PH and hard water. I don't want to shock them on every water change. Anyone with experience with python's

add the dechlorinator and salt as you put the new water into the tank, I would think. Altho I don't have a python, so its a best guest.

Either after or during refilling. I do it afterwards. I've had African, and South American cichlids, for over thirty years. It won't hurt them for a few minutes. Unless you have a very large tank you should be able to fill it up very fast with a python.
