So as I recently purchase my 70 gallon tank my current freshwater 29 tank seems like a good tank to make as a quarantine tank. Once I make it my quarantine tank can I use my aqua clear 50 on that quarantine tank to use as filtration? Seems like all the research I've done quarantine tanks have nothing on them but a heater and pvc pipes for homes. Maybe I'm thinking too much into this quarantine tank lol.

All QTs should /do have filters.
Your AQ will be fine!(y)
Many just use an air driven sponge filters, but I am big on AQ HOBs myself.
I run both in many of my breeding tanks.
AQs RULE the HOB market IMO.

I agree. Something that may be useful to do would be to run a sponge filter (in conjunction to your main filter) in your main tank and to move it whenever you need to quarantine. It doesn't have to be a sponge filter, your AQ can do the same thing.
