question about items in tank.

I recently changed from a 10 gallon to a 20 gallon tank a couple days ago, and notice that the items I took from the old tank are kinda slimy. Is this cause of the bacteria or is that the items being dirty. Random question I know lol.

Id recomend buying new ones, how long had they been in there?

I would say good bacteria which is what a tank needs

I'd rinse them off and scrub if needed. No soap. Most likely diatoms and or algae. Not a big deal IMO.

That's a normal thing...Just clean those items in the old tank water from your 10G to retain the good bacteria...then transfer them all to your 20G...don't cleanse them from your tap water so the good bacteria will not be gone...you can add water later from the tap with the dechlor...then you are good to go.
