I just purchased seachems prime for water changes or just to top up on the water, say I filled up like half a gallon jug how much prime would you put in??

You would need .1 ml for a one gallon jug, so .05 ml for a half gallon jug. I think that's about one drop from an eye dropper.

A half gallon? A couple of drops at most honestly. It's very concentrated so you don't need much. It's fine if you give a little more than needed .. say 3 drops .. just don't do like a whole capful for 1/2 gallon.

Hello l...

Prime, even in high amounts, isn't going to do any harm to your fish. I use half a cap in a 5 gallon bucket of tap water. So, why not fill a large bucket and treat it. You can leave the water covered or uncovered indefinitely. This way, you always have room temperature water to use.

Just a thought.
