My val has grown ridiculously long and I'm going to trim it for the first time. My question is, if I just cut it will it continue to grow normally? Also will the tips round off on it's own or will I have to shape it myself if I don't want a straight cut at the tip?

Just cut them off at a 45 degree angle. Mine grow so fast it's hard to keep up with them. And they spread like wildfire once they get going.

Thanks, I'll cut them at that angle.

I hear ya! All the runners my val gives off are starting to annoy me lol. I have to sometimes divert them so that they don't overwhelm my other plants.
