How do I know if there is enough nutrients in the water for my fish? Are there certain nutrients that my fish need?

Why are you asking this? Any outward signs of disease? Ive never really heard of this ever as a problem, or anyone thinking about nutrients in there water. I would assume that you would be all set.

i honestly have never seen this asked or written anywhere if your fish are acting fine there is no issue. just be sure to change water and use conditioner.

Fish gets all of its nutrients from food, but very few (if any) minerals from the water. Fish mainly need new clean water every week. Keep up with the 50% pwc.
