Questions about sand

If I used pool filter sand for the gravel, how wouldbi clean it? Do I simply gravel vacuum it? And will it get sucked in the gravel vacuum? Does it clog up filters?

Just run the vacuum along the top. You don't need to stick it in the sand to clean it since the crap just sits on top. PFS is pretty coarse so it should be too heavy to get sucked up into the filter.
