Ok I know this is probably a stupid question but what is the best way to attach pantyhose to an intake filter

I'd probably suggest maybe a rubber band, but not sure others have probably had more experience with that. I've never done it personally

My thoughts exactly, that's why it was only a suggestion as I don't know myself if it is hazardous to fish

I would use sewing tread. The band will break down in a couple of weeks. Depending what your trying to do you can use a sponge too.

I've used rubber bands in the past, they work well for temporary things (like if you've got babies you're growing out) but I would say sewing thread or fishing line for something more permanent.

A small plastic cable tie works wonders. A rubberband will fall apart.
