I dosed the tank with malafix and I also have instant ocean lifeguard but don't know if I should do both

It's sad. I wonder I never bought him, if he'd still be alive he was my favorite fish.

We named him Rico.

We take so much care to pick them out, acclimate them take care of them it's like they are family. I totally understand.

all i know is, i disagree when they say don't put live rock in a QT. I think the ammonia spike played a part in his death.. So what if every now and then you sacrafice a peice of live rockcause you have to medicate.. I think it's worth the risk to save a fish.. My now found experience and $0.02

I've never had LR in my QT. And if the ammonia was high, why didn't you do a pwc? As long as you have some type of filtration, your good. I am sorry for your lose. It's never easy.

I did a water change last night.. Ammonia was .25 ppm last night.. Today it was 1+
