Rattly AquaClear

My AquaClear’s been silent up until now. I took it apart and cleaned the impeller and inside the motor, but it is still making a kind of rattling noise. It’s more rattly on the low setting. Is it time for a new impeller shaft and impeller? I’ve had the filter for only 2 months.

Put Vaseline around the end of the impeller that goes up in the unit.

Are you sure it's the impeller? The only time I've experienced noise from my Aquaclears is when the lid doesn't seat properly.
