I am pretty sure one of my females is berried! Super exciting - I've googled pics of berried and they match. I know it is around 4 weeks until they hatch but my question comes with egg color. I've seen anywhere from clear, same color as mom, to orange and green. Right now mine look similar to mom. Does the color have anything to do with stage of the egg or is it random? Thanks!!

I'm new to breeding RCS and had the same questions about the color of the saddles. From what I've found and heard is that if there is a reason, it isn't known. My first berried female had a yellow saddle and the 3 new berried have green ones haha. Good luck with everything!

Mine have all yellow for now but I know that they can be green.

This is my first batch of eggs. I discovered another pregnant one - and 3 more have very pronounced saddles so I think only a matter of time for them too
