RCS molting

When shrimp molt should I leave the exoskeleton (That's what it's called right?) in the tank or remove it? Also this is healthy for the shrimp to molt right?

I personally leave it because the shrimp will eat it sometimes. And yes, the shrimp molting is perfectly natural and healthy.

From my understanding, the shrimp need to eat the exoskeleton as it is healthy or an important part of their diet

They don't explicitly need it but it is a very good source of calcium for them.
